1.) It Starts With Choosing Your SMS Keyword

When you join our Local Outreach Program, you will be asked to choose a unique Keyword which you would like to use for consumers to identify your SMS campaign. Your keyword can be your brand, Organization, business name, or any word consumers can easily remember and associate with your Organization or Business.  (Example: If your Church is First Methodist Church, you may want to use "fmc", or "church", or "first", etc.)

2.) Once Your Account Is Activated, Consumers Can Subscribe Via SMS

 

In order to receive your alert messages via SMS, consumers must first subscribe via SMS. They do this by sending a text message containing the words: vipupdate plus your keyword to the short code number 368638.

Using our example above, consumers would text the words vipupdate fmc to 368638

 

3.) Consumers Follow The Simple Opt-in Process

After the consumer texts vipupdate and your keyword to 368638, our SMS engine will automatically send back an SMS reply requesting the consumer to verify their intent to subscribe to your keyword. After the consumer verifies accordingly, our SMS engine sends them a confirmation. At that point, the new subscriber can start receiving your alert messages via SMS.

4.) Sending A Text Broadcast

To broadcast a message, simply login to your back office and select "Send A Text broadcast" from the main menu. Just click the SEND button and your new message is immediately sent to all your SMS subscribers.
